Doug Schendt

Doug Schendt is the CEO of HALIO, Inc.. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he was the President of KTT, HALIO’s Taiwan-based manufacturing operation where HALIO’s electrochromic devices are fabricated. Doug brings diverse executive experience in product design, purchasing, supply chain strategy, inventory control, and manufacturing operations to HALIO. Most recently prior to HALIO, he held executive positions in building and sustainability industry-related companies including Kapture PreFab, Katerra, Lunera, and ABB. Doug holds a Bachelors Science Mechanical Engineering from University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Howard Turner, Ph.D.

Howard is a co-founder of HALIO, Inc. He was formerly VP of R&D at Symyx Technologies where he pioneered the use of combinatorial methods for the discovery and optimization of functional materials. With a Ph.D. from MIT, Howard started his career with Exxon. He has authored more than 60 scientific publications and 200 issued patents.

Sam Bergh, Ph.D.

Sam is a co-founder of HALIO, Inc. He drew from his experience in process development and systems design to co-found HALIO. Previously VP of Engineering at Symyx Technologies, Sam has written over 25 issued patents. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Walter Simon

Walter is an experienced sales and business development leader in semiconductor, manufacturing, sustainability, and real estate technology industries. Prior to HALIO, Walter held executive positions developing IoT business at Lunera and Enmetric Systems, was the VP of business development at Flex, and in the management team of Altera (now Intel). Walter holds a BSEE from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and completed the Wharton School of Business Foundations Program.
