Attracting about 30,000 Visitors
SK Group announced on Jan. 8 that about 30,000 people visited its pavilion at the CES 2023 exhibition hall in Las Vegas for four days from Jan. 5 to 8 (local time).
Starting with 7,500 people on Jan. 5, the opening day of the exhibition, 9,500 people visited the SK Group pavilion on Jan. 6. On Jan. 7 and 8, a total of 13,000 people walked in and looked around the pavilion.
SK Group set up a pavilion under the theme of “Action: Moving Toward a Carbon-free Future Together.”
The SK booth is divided into two segments. The first emphasizes how the world will be negatively impacted by extreme environmental issues if individuals and businesses do not address climate change. Viewers will then be guided into the second segment of the exhibit that will display how future cities can thrive if built around sustainable technologies.
Officials at the SK booth received many inquiries regarding SK Telecom's virtual simulator of Korean urban air mobility (K-UAM) and the smart glass from Halio, an SK partner company in the U.S. The smart glass boosts energy efficiency in buildings by adjusting glass transparency with electric power.
An SK Sustainable Food Truck, which was prepared at the outdoor exhibition hall, also gained much popularity. SK Milk Sundae made with alternative milk protein and alternative protein cream cheese were sold out on the third day of the event. SK booth officials airlifted an additional 3,000 servings.
During CES 2023, SK executives closely observed global technology trends and strengthened net-zero alliances with global companies.
SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won visited the SK Group pavilion on Jan. 6. SK Group senior vice chairman Chey Jae-won also discussed various cooperation plans with global entrepreneurs who visited CES.
